Hi! I’m Savannah, a Master’s student living in Helsinki and a lifelong animal lover. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’m responsible, patient and attentive, and I always try to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible.

I offer home visits and dog walking at your pet’s home/neighbourhood. I do not offer boarding or overnight stays at my own home because I live in a student dormitory. On weekdays, I can normally spend around 1 hour per visit, while on weekends I have more flexibility and can stay for up to around 2 hours if your pet would benefit from longer companionship. For dogs, I’m happy to provide walks of around 30–60 minutes, depending on their age, energy level and usual routine. I can also spend time playing with them, feeding them, refreshing their water, cleaning litter boxes and making sure they are comfortable before I leave. For longer daytime sitting, we can discuss how often your pet should be visited so they are not left alone for too long.

I have hands-on volunteer experience with animals in both New Zealand and China. In New Zealand, I volunteered with an animal rescue programme focused mainly on rescuing and caring for kittens. In China, I participated in a WWF-organised wildlife conservation programme, where I learned about endangered birds, supported biodiversity protection in national parks and helped educate primary school students about protecting local wildlife and ecosystems.

I’m comfortable caring for cats and friendly, well-socialised dogs, and I’m happy to discuss other small pets depending on their needs. I can administer simple routine medication such as oral tablets or medication mixed with food, provided clear instructions are given. I’m not trained to provide injections or complex medical procedures.

Most importantly, I want your pet to feel relaxed and cared for in their own familiar environment. I’m happy to learn their personality, routine, favourite activities and any special requirements before the first visit, so you can feel confident that they are in good hands while you’re away. 🐾
